Dr. Proffitt

Dr. Gregory L. Proffitt, a native Tennessean, has made Nashville his home since the spring of 2000. He recieved a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in the summer of 1996 and a Doctorate in Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis in the spring of 2000. Dr. Proffitt's internship experience includes three months with Primary Eyecare in Brentwood, TN with an emphasis on contact lenses. In addition, Dr. Proffit spent time with Campbell, Cunningham, and Taylor opthalmology group in Knoxville, Tennessee with an emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and co-management of cataract and LASIK surgeries. In his spare time, he enjoys flying both full-scale and radio-controlled aircraft; Greg has been an active pilot since 1994. He also enjoys hiking, fishing and watching college football.
